Burlesque Tsunami Accessories is a one-woman street fashion art project. It is the brain child of Riina Salmi (Finland), who has a passion for recycled leather, post consumer waste and communal fashion design.
BQT combines local fashion, ecological and ethical values and an artistic look. All the accessories and clothes are made in Helsinki by her personally and by collaborating with other local artists, craftsmen and companies.
The collection is a mix of made to order and unique show pieces. The BQT icon is a mask. It both symbolizes infinity and is a visualization of Riina´s underground anarchist attitude. She does not use it only in print, but as the basic and only structure of entire garments.
Riina has collaborated with performing musical artists and street performance groups in making special pieces for their shows and her works have walked the runways on Helsinki Fashion Week, Helsinki Design Week and Helsinki Fashion Week took BQT to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia in 2015.
